We came to visit some friends that moved to asheville about a year ago. We're mid 30s with kids and like to go out. Downtown is great. All of the good restaurants are walking distance. Parking in the back and fun shops all around. We really only had to drive a few times. We hiked at chiminey rock, and tubed down the broad river. Visit Sierra Nevada, wow. The apartment is a well kept old school loft. No walls, one big common area, and old floors. They are super creaky, not reccomended if your kids are light sleepers. Ours sleep like logs so it wasn't bad. The place has everything you need. Wifi kinda sucks, had to reset it twice, just unplug the linksys and count to 10. Kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. LOFT store downstairs is fun, kids loved it. Vavavoom 2 doors over is fun to visit with the Mrs. Mellomushroom has great pizza across the street. The food, so much good food, chai Pani, tupelo honey, rhubarb. Pinball museum is close by. The Moog factory! Is down the street on the way to grocery store. Great downtown place to stay
The parking space behind the building was accessed via an alley filled with garbage cans from restaurants. We felt uncomfortable walking thru the alley and around the building at night.
Thanks for your feedback. The parking space is located on Carolina Lane , which runs parallel with the Broadway and Lexington Avenue. There is a lot activity on Carolina Lane, the "alley" that you mention, which includes several residences, garage and restaurants entrances. This is downtown location and like most urban settings, trash cans have to placed somewhere, and for the businesses and residences on these parallel streets , they use Carolina Lane. Many of our guests value the off street free parking for up two vehicles included in each reservation as an added bonus. In addition to the managers' comments and from the OWNER of the property, I thank you for your comments We always want our guests to be comfortable and have a great experience. I have had the AC checked and am told that the system is working well. There will be a certain amount of noise with any system and I am sorry if it disturbed your peace. The system is designed to cool a very large space with high ceilings. It would have been helpful to hear from you about this concern at the beginning of your stay so that we could remediate any problems immediately. We do our best to provide free safe parking, and have had no complaints thus far. The alley is patrolled regularly by the police and I am not aware of any unsafe situations to date. I’ve checked the alley several times since this review and note that only 1 restaurant has a garbage container, which is on their property and which remains closed and locked. There are also several recycle cans which are not located on the street. On trash/recycle pick up day there are a number of cans awaiting pickup. Businesses are not allowed to leave trash cans in the alley except on pick up day, in the morning. I never want a guest to have any fear about their personal safety while staying at the LOFT. You are of course welcome to find and pay for your own parking accommodations as is standard with most other downtown vacation rentals. I’m sure as you have noticed, downtown Asheville has very limited parking. Again I welcome all guests to contact me immediately with any concerns and I will welcome your comments and do my best to address your concerns.
We spent 4 nights at this loft and were very pleased. It was well appointed with good quality linens, comfortable beds, everything you could need in the kitchen, and beautiful decor. The location, in downtown Asheville, was perfect to walk to the many shops and restaurants. We did drive to The Biltmore Estate, but that was the only time we really used our vehicle. If you are headed to Asheville, we highly recommend this loft.
My husband and I stayed here for a couples' weekend, along with my sister & BIL. It was the perfect location for all things Asheville. We got in the car once the entire weekend, only to drive to the Biltmore. It was also great to be able to bring the dogs along, too. With everything being so close by, it was easy to pop back by the place to let them out and then continue along with the next brewery stop or whatever else. They also included a dog gate, which was great since there is a long set of stairs. Overall, the place was perfect for us. I do think b/c of the loft set up, it would be ideal for couples that know each other well vs. never traveled together. The dividers offer privacy, but the reality is you're in exposed quarters, so just be mindful of who you're sharing your space with. We'd definitely stay again!
Dear Travelers, Thank you for your kind and candid review. We appreciate your mention of the open floor setup. We try to express in both words and photos that the LOFT is truly a LOFT with very simple visual separation and no auditory separation. A review such as yours always helps other travelers get a candid description of the DOWNTOWN LOFT on Broadway. Hope to see you in the future. Sincerely, Management and owner of the DOWNTOWN LOFT on Broadway
The downtown location is exceptional. The loft was furnished nicely. The beds were comfortable and the living area had a great couch, recliner and HDTV. The unit is fully equipped, clean and has a plenty of open space and lighting. The only draw back was the heating units noise level. The startup woke us up several times, we got use to it after awhile but it is annoying. Outside of this we would highly recommend the property.
More than we imagined; My husband and I were thrilled with the loft- nothing was lacking - comfortable; well furnished; well equipped. The downtown location was perfect. We hope to have the opportunity to return to this space again in the near future. Many thanks to the owner and the property manager.
We have rented with VRBO many times and have always relied on reviews. As a result we have had good experiences. This loft is right where it ideally SHOULD be if you plan to visit Asheville. You can walk to everything (except Biltmore of course) and there is a parking spot out back (important). The loft is one big room with a bathroom. It has a king bed and a second bed that is a queen. With so many great restaurants in close proximity, we did not use the kitchen at all...even coffee is a short walk. Forget the hotel...this is a much better option!
Great location, but... The venue on the first floor has both private and public parties. During our stay two nights the partying went on till late. Very loud. Be aware if you rent.
Dear Travelers, I appreciate your candid review about the LOFT. Future travelers will read this review and be more aware of the abundant downtown life. I appreciate your '10' on the location of the LOFT. Insofar as the noise level in downtown, there is a strict noise ordinance which should be enforced at 10:00 p.m. for the entire downtown area. After 10:00 p.m. we encourage all travelers to report any excessive noise activity to the party directly or to the police if necessary. Travelers beware you are staying downtown and it is a very likely active scene which is why most people choose to rent a downtown vacation rental vs. an out of town rental. All contact information is readily available for either myself of my assistant if there is an untenable situation at the LOFT.
Amazing is how I would describe this loft with it's very own parking space. We had a fantastic weekend here! It is within walking distance to all that is downtown Asheville. It is also one of the more affordable lofts in Asheville. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return!
Got to see all of Ashville within walking from this loft. Everything about it was perfect except for the floor noise as stated in other reviews. Only a problem at night. Hint It helps if you walk on the carpet to the bathroom. Totally understand floors are old. The other best thing was the parking spot! Easy in and out which is great if you want to drive to the Biltmore Estate. Loft has everything a apt needs. Clean, great beds and like I said great location!
Excellent location. Love the set up and convenience of having a kitchen and parking. Simple but manageable amenities. Some small improvements would be appreciated - a mirror In the main room, a plug in bathroom sink, additional floor rugs (as floor creaks badly when we get up at night).
This large loft had all the amenities for a pleasant stay. I particularly enjoyed being able to get to many different restaurants within a short walk. virtually anywhere downtown was reachable within five minutes. It seems also to be appropriate for families with small children, although that was not the case with me.
Great loft space that is in the perfect location to walk to everything that Asheville has to offer. All of the direction on finding the place were easy to follow and I would recommend this loft to a couple or maybe really close friends. It is a loft so no walls if you prefer separate bedrooms. We will look to stay here again next time we visit.
This loft had everything we needed and contributed to us thoroughly enjoying our stay in Asheville over Memorial Day weekend (5/27 - 5/30). We stayed in this loft a few years ago, and it was just as great as we had remembered. The free parking spot behind the building is quite convenient, and allows guests to easily come and go from the city; however, if you're looking to mainly explore the downtown area, you can probably just park your car as the location can't be beat. The apartment was clean and well maintained upon our arrival. There were only two of us this go round, but there is a second bed, so it can accommodate more than two. The kitchen had enough basic supplies to meet our needs, the king sized bed was quite comfortable, and no issues emerged during our stay. We were quite satisfied this loft, and would certainly stay here again in the future.
This is a great place for exploring downtown Asheville! If you prefer the convenience of a kitchen and like something more homey than a hotel, this is the place for you. There are literally no less than 50 restaurants in walking distance (some up more hills than others). There is a Whole Foods three blocks away where you can stock up on groceries and the downtown Farmers Market on Saturdays is a short drive. You have everything you need in this apartment that's on the second floor above a gallery. The windows are well insulated so you don't hear much street noise and it's very roomy. I wish I knew they history of that building! Everything went very smoothly with the transaction and the information they provided was spot on. The property was very clean and well appointed. The only small caveat is the parking. There's a designated parking space in the back, but if you have anything larger than a Prius, it's a very tight fit. I had just gotten my first new car in a decade and I was too nervous that someone would ding it, so we just used street parking which is readily available on weekends, and a pay lot across the street. It was no big deal. At $8/day those lots are MUCH cheaper that what most hotels charge you to park these days. I would definitely recommend this accommodation if you enjoy being close to everything and an urban, downtown loft.
Such a great location, and they've done many things right -- simple clean decor, well-supplied kitchen, and very little street noise for a downtown place. The main problem for us was that the floorboards were sooooo creaky & groany that no movement goes unnoticed. If you have more than one person, just know that someone will be awoken to the other's crazy-loud trip to the bathroom/kitchen/stairs. Also, on a minor note, considering the fee I felt like it should have larger than gym-sized towels and at least a few less old pillows.
Dear guests, Thank you so much for your recent review of The Downtown Loft on Broadway. My sincere apologies for the smaller size towels that were set out for your visit. The footlocker in the bathroom is full of large new towels. I do not know why the smaller ones were set out but certainly it was a mistake and I will have this error corrected immediately for our future guests. As for the creaky floors, the building is quite old and the original Heart Pine flooring is somewhat creaky, yet quite beautiful. Perhaps it is a subjective matter as we have never had a complaint in our long rental history. It is good for other guests to know that someone thinks the floors are unusually loud. I do appreciate your honesty on this issue. Based on this review I will be upgrading anything that is in need. Thank you again for helping other travelers as they finalize their plans to visit Asheville. As Owner of the property, the staff and I thank you. Elizabeth Ann
The loft was perfect for our long weekend in Asheville. The included dedicated parking spot was awesome - but the loft is so well located that the car was nearly parked the whole stay! The loft seems a lot larger than the pictures indicate as well. If you are looking for a clean, well appointed, right in the heart of downtown place to stay to explore Asheville, I would highly recommend this loft!
Thanks for recommending the Loft to future guests and providing your personal feedback.
My husband and I searched far and wide for a reasonably priced, centrally-located option in downtown Asheville for our one year anniversary weekend, and luckily found this spot. It was just what we were looking for - perfect location, clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations. Would recommend to all, and we'll be back!
It's great to hear the Loft was good fit for you all and your special one year anniversary. Please keep us in mind for your next visit to Asheville!
We opted to stay at the loft for a much needed mini-vacation over a long weekend. The loft was clean, well stocked and exceeded our expectations. The location of the loft was in walking distance of many great restaurants and the energy of the downtown area is really great. The parking space in the rear of the building was much appreciated. The only issue was the heating system ... I an not a light sleeper and I felt that it was unusually noisy when it kicked on and off during the night. Even so, we would consider staying here again on another visit to Asheville and highly recommend.
Thanks for your helpful feedback.
The location was perfect and the loft had lots of character. We walked down the interior stairs and onto the street. Either way you walk you can enjoy delicious food, drink, music or shopping. We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and there was no issue with noise except for a vehicle that insisted on going around the block with his speakers blasting. The loft was very very roomy and fully equipped. It even had a nice washer and dryer if needed. The squeaky wood floors, high ceilings and openness made it very unique. We loved it and will return!
The Loft is in a historic building and were glad you appreciate some its unique characteristics, in addition to it's convenient location. The washer and dryer are top of the line and one of benefits of renting the Loft. Please come back anytime!
The best part of this rental is the location. You are in the heart of all of the shops, restaurants, and only a few minute walk to most of the breweries. They reinforced the windows so you can't hear most of the street noise-- this is very nice. Also the place has all the essentials you need while staying there. If you do want to drive somewhere, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway or Biltmore, you have a dedicated parking spot behind the building. So you don't have to worry about parking in a deck blocks away from the loft. Since this is only a one room loft, I would only recommend this to people traveling with a group if they require privacy. That being said, it's a great spot for couple, small family, or close friends.
We really appreciate your detailed feedback for potential future guests. As described it is truly a loft so it is a completely open floor plan, however the bathroom is quite large so one could really take advantage of the spaciousness inside it to get ready for a big sightseeing day or night on the town. The reinforced windows are a plus because this property is definitely in the heart of downtown, and with that comes all the city-living aspects. Thanks again for visiting!
We had a wonderful time in the loft over the Halloween weekend! The loft was the perfect place to stay to be close to everything going on in Asheville and was surprisingly VERY quiet! Sarah was so very helpful in getting us in a bit early and helping us with a minor parking situation. It was such a relaxing getaway - We would most certainly stay in the loft for our next visit!
Right in the middle of everything! We parked our car in the parking space reserved for the loft and walked to everything downtown. Very large with two comfortable beds. We did not notice any street noise although we were told it was the busiest fall weekend in Ashville. We will come back!
The loft was the perfect place to stay during our trip to Asheville. The location was great! We walked to all the great restaurants, bars and shops that downtown has to offer. Having a set parking spot was one less thing to worry about. The loft was clean, comfortable and had tons of space. We'll definitely be back!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Broadway Loft ... so much fun can be reached on foot from this spot. We walked to Shakespeare in Montford Park, Shindig on the Green, several breweries, and Sunday worship at a beautiful church (Trinity Epis.) .... as well as several excellent restaurants. Its not the most cozy, elegant, or quiet (e.g. minor road noise) place that one can stay in Asheville .... but The Loft has true character, is appointed with everything one needs (the full kitchen and W/D are a plus), its in an excellent location (walking distance to everything downtown), and its a great value. We'll certainly look to stay in the Loft again when/if we are headed to Asheville. [Only negative ... The A/C condenser pump is a bit noisy.]
We stayed at the loft for four nights and had a wonderful time. There was a slight hiccup when we arrived (the property was not ready when promised). we were extremely pleased with the response of the property manager. She fixed the problem and got us into the property quickly. Nice views from the windows, and when you go out the front door of the property you are downtown. SO convenient. Parking was provided near the property. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't drive again until our stay was over. Strongly recommend this property. We hope to stay there again.
We were so lucky to find this place! It is perfectly situated downtown, within walking distance of just about everything Asheville has to offer. We took the car to Mt. Mitchell and to Biltmore House but for everything else we walked. We very much appreciated the information about restaurants, etc., that we found in the loft. Even though we had personal recommendations, we perused the info for things we may not have found out otherwise. I've recommended this property for the 55+ set (since I am in that age group!) but be prepared to carry your luggage, etc, up a narrow flight of stairs. Once you're there, you're all set until time to carry it back down and check out!
The loft space was a fine alternative to downtown hotels. It's quite spacious, and within walking distance to downtown restaurants, music venues, and shopping. Though seldom used (those great restaurants!), the kitchen was well-appointed, right down to the bagel slicer. Reserved parking, full laundry, comfortable (and big) beds, and lots of wander around space in the loft. Brochures for dining and sightseeing were also very helpful, and the rental agent was very quick to respond to a question of ours. A great alternative to those same old hotels.
Second story Loft right in downtown Asheville. Short walk to everything. Nice large space with room to move and place your travel and newly purchased goods. Rustic looking with character. Included parking behind the building - could be marked better with address but marked well with painted lines. Small parking spots but other vehicle owners were very considerate. Would definitely stay here again.
The loft was clean, spacious, well equipped, and was within walking distance to everything downtown. The dedicated parking space behind the unit was a big plus. Plenty of brochures and information sheets for local activities were provided in the unit. We'll definitely stay here again.
Dear Travelers, Thank you so much for this review. Your description of the LOFT has highlighted the most important aspects of this property and is helpful to future travelers who are considering staying at the LOFT. The parking is a big BONUS, not to mention the cleanliness and excellent location of the LOFT. We hope you will revisit the LOFT in the future. Sincerely, Elizabeth Ann and Sarah
This was a great place to stay within walking distance to everything downtown. Great that it had a reserved parking spot too! The loft is very comfortable and open.
Thank you William. Almost all future travelers will read your review. Yes the LOFT is a great place to stay and the parking (included in all reservations) is a big bonus in downtown Asheville. I hope you will consider the LOFT for your next visit to Asheville. Gratefully, ElizabethAnn
The Loft was not only perfect with it's location but it was also comfortable and clean. Elizabethann was really hospitable. I typically travel with my dog and have never felt more comfortable or welcomed as I did at the loft. It was an easy walk to restaurants and to Pack's Square. Parking wasn't an issue with a designated space in the back.
To the reviewer and all future travelers. Yes the free parking in the rear of the building is a big bonus. Thanks for this great review and as always I am happy to know the LOFT has met the expectations of the current and hopefully some future traveler. All travelers who are hikers, foodies and fun loving, please read all reviews and consider visiting this fabulous LOFT. Summer is for FUN! Many thanks, ElizabethAnn
We really enjoyed this rental. It was very spacious and convienant to everything Asheville has to offer. I was thrilled the place was clean and pet friendly. Being an intown rental though has it's drawbacks for pet lovers. The closest grass/dirt potty area was about a block in either direction. While ordinarily this would not be a problem the traffic was extremely heavy near the rental making crossing streets difficult and time consuming. A quick pee was quite an adventure. We'd come back again but not bring our fur kids. If your dogs do their business on concrete this would not be a problem.
Dear travelers, Thank you so much for this review. I hope all travelers with pets will read your comments. For even a little more clarity on the doggie situation, the cross walk is in front of the building next door. Traffic is heavier during the day so everyone, please be careful crossing the street even though pedestrians have the right of way. From the other side of Broadway the parking lot is less than 1/2 block away and the grassy area is at the rear of the lot. PLEASE always clean up after your pet. I hope this helps future travelers. ElizabethAnn
The loft was in a great location and very spacious for me, hubby and our miniature pom. We were walking distance from all the downtown restaurants, bars and shops. The town is such a dog friendly place our little Roxy was in dog heaven. It was a little noisy being on Broadway Street downtown so we ran our cell phone noise machines and slept like a dream.
Dear Guests, Thank you for this wonderful review. I especially appreciate the comment about the noise at the Downtown Broadwayt Loft. Although I have installed "SOUND STUDIO TYPE SOUND PROOFING" on the windows and door sometimes it is just not quite 'enough' as each person has a different sensitivity to noise. How clever of you to use your smartphone app. I am happy that you enjoyed the LOFT and Asheville and hope to see you in the future. Sincerely, ElizabethAnn
We stayed at the loft the week of Thanksgiving. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Asheville. We walked to and ate at some wonderful locally owned restaurants, cafes, bars, and microbreweries. We also shopped and watched a movie at the Fine Arts theater. Everything was in walking distance. The loft, itself, was large, well furnished and clean. We slept well on the king size bed.
Hello Marcia, Thank you so much for this explicit and wonderful review. Walking is the only way to explore Asheville and you're already starting to sound like a 'local.' The Fine Arts Theatre is amongst the best in the US. Thanks for letting everyone know about our special theatre. I look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, ElizabethAnn
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the loft. Perfect location and very comfortable. Spacious as well, with room for the dogs. The owner was available and very helpful as well. We can't wait to go back!
Hello Jennifer and hubby, Thanks for this great review. I appreciate that you were especially considerate of other travelers arriving after your visit. I found no sign of dog hair, smells, etc. Not everyone has dogs and we all appreciate your consideration. I look forward to your next visit. Many thanks, Elizabethann
The only problem we had was that our stay was too short. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This condo is perfectly located. We walked everywhere, or took the trolly. The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. I hope we get back to Asheville soon. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Elizabethann. Everything was great.
Hello John and family, Thank you for letting people know about this unique 'HIDDEN GEM'. More people are discovering this LOFT every day as it is the only true 'open loft' experience in downtown Asheville. Free parking and easy walking are enjoyed by all travelers. I hope to see you on your return visit. Gratefully, Elizabethann
We found the loft to be perfect for us. The location is in the middle of everything. The kitchen has everything anyone would need. Bed is extremely comfortable and the double windows cut down virtually all of the street noise. There was no noise from the commercial property below as it is an art gallery and the owner was kind enough to tell us about an opening the evening we left. Elizabethann was great to work with and always had time to answer any questions we might have, including those that didn't have anything to do with the actual property. A great place to stay in a great city.
Hello Joel, Thank you for this great review. I especially appreciate that you mentioned the double windows which virtually eliminate any street noise. I often forget to emphasize this unique feature. Both you and your wife were fun guests and I look forward to your return. I'm also happy to hear how much you liked our special little city. Take care, Elizabethann
A comfortable place to explore Asheville on foot. Park the car in back and you really don't need it again until you leave. Neat. The photos are accurate, the loft is well maintained and the owner is helpful.
Hello happy travelers, Thanks so much for this succinct and accurate description of the LOFT. Every review helps others to better understand what to expect while staying at the LOFT. I hope you can return in the future. Sincerely, ElizabethAnn Owner
Super easy to find and the perfect location to see all of downtown Asheville. The Loft was clean, well-maintained and very spacious. Pictures and description were spot on. For the location and the amount of space the Loft was a great value. Tons of restaurants, bars and shopping are within walking distance. We walked to the Visitor Center and took the Grey Line Trolley Tour of Asheville which we highly recommend. Thank you Elizabeth Ann for answering all of our questions. We had a great stay at the Loft and it made our vacation in Asheville that much more enjoyable!
Hi Jacqueline, Thank you for this wonderful review and the additional information for other guests. The Gray Line Trolly tours are a great suggestion for future travelers. I so enjoy all the great energy pouring into the LOFT. Everybody benefits! Gratefully Elizabeth Ann
The best place to stay in Asheville ! Can't wait to come back next year. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Dear Beth, Thank you so much for this short, sweet and to the point review. This is wonderful to hear and more importantly it will help all future travelers. The Loft on Broadway Staff is always delighted to hear from happy travelers. Gratefully The Owner
I came to stay at the Loft for a week with my mom and 2 year old son. It was a perfect amount of space for the three of us and so much for everyone within walking distance. Grandma got to take her little guy to the splash park and out for ice cream while i got to visit with friends. we were able to cook some meals and eat out when we wanted. The owner was super helpful and made us feel welcome and at home. It's so much better than a hotel or staying with friends. Thank you for sharing your space!
Thanks so much for this great review. I agree-the LOFT is so much better than a hotel. Not to mention the better price tag! Thanks for helping future travelers learn about this special LOFT. Elizabeth Ann
The description was accurate and property was clean. The owner was especially friendly and helpful with answering questions and even sent someone over when I first arrived to help get the Internet set up. For me, the walkup was a bit tricky with regard to getting suitcases, etc., in and out, and the walk around the block to get to the parking area with suitcases was cumbersome, but the loft itself was an amazing spot with tons of space, and right in the center of everything. Great location. I would recommend the property to others as long as they don't mind the one flight walkup and no rear exit to the parking around the block. Do not remember the walkup and parking situation being listed in the description, although the parking directions were included in the instructions once the place was booked. Owner is receptive to suggestions.
Thank you for reviewing Asheville's Downtown LOFT. I appreciate all reviews as they are helpful to other travelers. The parking is described under the 'note' section of my listing. I want all travelers to read this as the FREE parking is utilized by everyone. I do recommend to unload in front of the building BEFORE parking your car behind the building. I cannot stress this enough thus this review is extremely helpful for this very reason. I also send explicit parking instruction out prior to arrivals. I do my very best to be helpful and courteous with all travelers and do not want ANY misunderstandings. Thank you for writing this review and giving travelers information about your experience. This is very helpful. I apologize that you found the parking situation somewhat cumbersome however it sounds like you had a very joyful time at the LOFT and in Asheville. Gratefully, The Owner
The loft was exactly as described, it was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our get away. We loved being right in downtown Asheville where everything was within walking distance. It was also only minutes from The Biltmore Estate and the mountains. Will definitely stay there again.
Kimberly, We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the LOFT. The Loft team strives hard to make sure all our guests are happy. We appreciate your gracious comments and look forward to seeing you in the future. Elizabeth Ann
Had the BEST time at the Loft with my son. We were able to leave the car in the space and walk everywhere we wanted to go. All the best restaurants and shops were within a block or two and we could not have ordered better weather. The space is awesome and really gives you the 'loft' experience. It is well-equipped and the beds were super comfortable. Will definitely be back!
Angela Many thanks to you and all of those reviewers who commented before you. My job is pleasant and delightful knowing that I am able to help travelers enjoy their stay in Asheville. I appreciated your comment about the true 'loft' character of the Broadway Loft. Although this limits me to small parties of travelers, I often feel that I get the cream of the crop staying at the LOFT. Thanks again for your wonderful comments and please come back soon. Gratefully, Elizabeth Ann
Our friend's husband rented this loft as a surprise girl's b-day getaway weekend for her and it was perfect with plenty of room for the three of us. The loft was in a great location on Broadway in downtown Asheville. Once we parked our car after unloading luggage and making a trip to Earth Fare for food and wine essentials, it was never moved again until departing. The place is in walking distance to pretty much everything downtown…food, entertainment, and much more. During our stay we had a blast aboard the LaZoom Comedy Tour bus ride and had a wonderful meal at Curate Tapas Bar. We would recommend the Broadway Loft to others who plan a trip to the Asheville area. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
We stayed here during the July 4th weekend. We have always stayed on the outskirts of Asheville and had to drive in and then back to the place we were staying. What a treat this was to be able to walk everywhere downtown -- all the restaurants and bars are so close! Our car stayed parked the whole time. The loft was very spacious and had everything we needed. We are excited to stay here again!
Just returned from Asheville while staying in this loft. It was perfect for us ( 2 adults, 1 dog). The location is ideal--you can walk everywhere, and the loft was clean and big. Everything you would need was there. It was nice to walk around the city to the restaurants and breweries, and easily return to check on the dog and let her out. I would much rather stay here than any hotel. I will be back to Asheville again, and this is where I will be staying.
We just returned from a week in Asheville and were so lucky to have found this great loft in the middle of downtown. It is a very large space with private free parking in the rear and a walk-up in the front. The owners keep it well maintained and stocked with just about anything you could need. Asheville is a compact city so we were able to walk to just about everywhere from this location. Restaurants surround you. We would definitely return again.
Just returned from a girls weekend in Asheville. The Loft could not have been more perfect for a place for the three of us to stay. The location, right in the heart of downtown, was within walking distance of so many great places to eat, drink and shop. The loft had more than enough room, and many more amenities (TV, DVDs, books, washer/dryer, kitchen, etc...) than we needed. A surprising bonus feature is the designated parking space behind the building. We squeezed a full size SUV and a minivan nose to nose into that one space, which left us one vehicle parked on the street, or in the nearby public lot. We will definitely stay at the Loft again. So much better than a hotel!
Some things do get better with time. I was at this loft right after it was available for rent and came back this week. The location is great. We were able to walk everywhere downtown.....Salsa's, Zambra's, the art galleries and we fell in love with the organic handcrafted furniture in Futon Design. (Don't let the name fool you...yes, they have futons but this place has amazing affordable handmade platform beds and dressers to die for!).....but back to The Loft. It is NOT big city glitzy.....it has.wood kitchen cabinets, cool antiques....not a Donald Trump bathroom but nice and clean. It has an ocean of space but it is still very cozy and homey and the king size bed is so comfortable! (We didn't try the double bed or the futon). We'll be back!
This Loft can't be beat. What a great 'feel like home' kind of place. Perfect location, well-equipped kitchen and a king size bed that I wish were my own. We will return! Check out Salsa's caribbean and top it off with desert from True Confections at the Grove Arcade. We highly recommend this Loft. Be sure to read the guest book as it is fun and very informative.
